Probably around 1800hp...not unheard of for big money LS setups...a 434 with massive heads, im pretty sure a wicked valvetrain and big cam, and huge, huge turbo. I dont really see why not...

Oh its definitely a crazy trap speed, but by the numbers the power can be made...mark carlye's car is near 2500hp from an lsx 440 with similiar huge heads and twin 88s.

My hot rod calculator says, #4250 and 175 mph is 1777.68 hp.
Now #4250 and 9.1ET are 1114.69 hp which is the same hp for 145 mph...
Trap speed is measured by how long it takes the truck to pass though the last 60' of the track. Possibility of a timing glitch??? Even the fastest of the fast pro mods don't pick up 51 mph through the back door... Any data logs or RPM readings to verify it really ran that fast?? Not calling out bullshit, but those numbers are just highly unlikely.

Just to expand on my thoughts a little...
1/8 mile stats show,
Your HP computed from your vehicle 5.946 ET is 920.89 rear wheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle 124.7 MPH is 1,210.26 rear wheel HP.
Which is about in line for his 9.1 1/4 mile ET, but nothing even close to hp needed to run 175MPH... Would have to have picked up about 600 or MORE hp at half track to back door that 175MPH.
And with a Glide, with no OD and no lock up converter, depending on the gear the truck has, that motor would have been SCREAMING through the traps, and I don't know how much shut down that racks has, but it would have been WORK to stop that truck from 175 with no chute too.
I don't know, everything adds up on that slip, but the MPH... Just sayin...
Not trying to start anything.

Oh believe me I know that vette is in a world of its own! My only point is its possible to make big HP from these ls engines with a similar setup; big cubes, big heads, and lots of turbo.
