Hey guys,
I made it out to New England Dragway last night for some baseline runs before the cam swap this weekend.
I ran on the stock 17's and the truck has a K&N intake, ARH 1 7/8" headers (definitely overkill at the moment), silverado SS GMPP borla cat back, and a wheatley live street tune. Only weight reduction I did was removing the tail gate. DA was about -500 last night, I know there will be better weather to come before they shut down for the year.
My fastest run of the night looked like this:
.157........RT
2.151......60'
6.022......330'
9.281......1/8
77.21......MPH
11.998....1000'
14.387....1/4
94.18......MPH
Highest trap speed looked like this:
.108.......RT
2.210......60'
6.069......330'
9.251......1/8
77.48......MPH
12.020....1000'
14.397....1/4
94.65......MPH
I tried staling it up a little on this run and it definitely hurt me. Had I stuck to my guns I think I would have pulled out a 14.2 seeing as I trapped .5 MPH better and my 60' was .06 slower... but you win some you lose some.
My next time out will be with a TBSS intake manifold and a custom EPS 222/226 cam. I dont have my converter installed yet, but that will be going in shortly as well. With that and better weather im gunning for a 13.5 or better and as close to 100 MPH as possible.
