Hey guys I went to the track tonight best run was 16.5 @ 83. My truck is a RCSB 2000 Silverado 4.8l 4X4 Z71. Mods are:

Spector Intake

Flowmaster exhaust

00 ls1 cam w/springs

Hp tuners (still learning to tune) 20-21 degrees of timing up to 6000 shift

3.73 gears, stock trans, stock converter.

I was spinning on the launch a little bit with a 60' of 2.6 consistently, but my question is does that time sound close or ballpark to were you think it should be? Any input if this is wrong would be greatly appreciated

Look up the da of your track and post it on here. Also, I'm sure a few guys would help with your tune if you posted it up as well. Just as long as you come back with more track results IMO that sounds a little lazy, but not out of the question. Did you see any Knock Retard during the run?

 

no problem at all. I did do some math when i got home and i did find some retard do to the air intake sensor and engine coolent temp, as far as actual knock just 1 degree when i launched then it flatted. i must add that this is on 87 octane with a small amount of 91 mixed in 89 octane max. Here in the info on the track. Also here is the Current tune and the 16.5 run data log. This is in HP tuners. i am still getting used to the ls style computer. i tuned a 3800 v6 turbo in my camaro to high 12's but the computers are a night and day difference.

Trust me i hope to keep posting results. this truck will have a PT6262 on it at some point i just need to learn the mistakes now so i don't blow my motor to high heaven down the road.
