First Time at the Track
#24
my ext cab 04 went 14.6 with a 4.8, stock trans, 3.42s with open diff, longtubes, k&n, tune, and 26" tires with the back seat, tailgate, sparetire removed. To top it off, there was a headwind.

Just to confirm if you didn't know, your reaction time isn't part of you E.T.
Don't know how deep into the 14s you will get. Your 60 should be close to 2.0-2.2 with traction. That alone will get you about 14.99. I don't see you gaining much past that. My truck as a regular cab long bed ran 14.2 with a 2800 stall, tune, and traction. You should be making similar power (I had a 6.0) but you are heavier. Taking your current times and that into consideration I would guess 14.7 is a reasonable goal next time at the track.

14.7 is a huge drop for ur next outing. How many times did u race? I would think 2-3 tenths is more reasonable for your second time racing.
Practice makes perfect man. Make little changes and write them down on the slips. What rpm u left at. Temp. Tire pressure...
Good luck.
