Get yourself a good converter. Help you out the hole. Put some lighter wheels on too. What kind of tune? Long tube headers.

 

yea im gonna try and find a set of stock wheels to run on, i dunno what tune it has, but it is tuned, no speed limiter, no cats, no egr and no codes or engine light, it has a set of no name shorties(no tag), but im looking into the pacesetters on ebay

 

well i found out some more info on the truck, the engine was replaced by an 06 5.3, which has approx 100k miles on it, original one was cammed(230/236 .591/.601 112lsa), 3600 convertor and 4.56s, tranny is built well, kevlar band, billet drum, transgo shift kit, corvette servo and a trailblazer convertor

the tune thats in the truck is for the cammed engine still, so im sure that may be slowing me down just a bit

 

That trap is high for those mods.

as it sits right now, this is whats done to it, shorty headers, no cats, 3" "catback" to a factory sized magnaflow muffler, 3.42s, trailblazer convertor, tune, k&n drop in, cut airbox, still has the factory intake tube with "silencer" still hanging from it, weighs 4750 with me in it

its actually been 93.84 on a different pass, but thats splitting hairs over .3mph

 

little update, took it back to the track today, havent changed anything, went a 14.95 @ 93.89 with a 2.33 60', best 60' of the day was a 2.29 and went 14.96 @ 93.65

 

Those times aren't horrible. What's yr main goal with the truck?

honestly all I really bought it for is to daily drive and maybe pull my racecar to the track, but its not done yet so I get the urge to race it lol, if I could get it to go maybe a 14.50 without alot of work id be happy. honestly im happy with how the truck runs now, id like to go to a 4.10 gear to aid with acceleration, but it runs alright for now
