Default First time ever at track

This is not only the first time I have raced this truck officially, but the first time at a track ever. I ran down at Orlando Speed World and it was packed 7 lanes deep. I didnt really know what the hell I was doing and had plenty of time to BS with other drivers that were parked with hoods up. My first Run was against a Nissan 240, I ran a 13.56 at 102mph against his 14.56 at 98mph. My second run was against a Huge Dodge Cummins and on that run I ran a 13.55 against his 16.57. I felt like I should be running faster, my 60's were a 2.24 and a 2.07, was having a hella time hookin and let out. The cam I have is made more for a blower set up and my 3.73 are killin me I think. I was really hoping for 12.xx NA and when I run again Wed. with video was hoping to pull an 11.xx on a 125 shot after my kit is installed but dont think its possible now. By the way the date on the time and date on the slips are wrong, something musthave been wrong with their computer.

Good deal and congrats. It takes more than a fast truck to cut good times and you will do a lot better with a little more practice for sure. Everyone thinks they should be faster, lol.
Had a blast didn't ya? It's about a big ol' shot of adrenalin when that light blinks and you nail it.

great start man!
with those lazy 60's and that mph you'll be in the 12's easy with traction.

Thanks, and I was just running my street tires, General Grabbers UHP 275-55 R17, they grab a lot bettter than the Eagle GT especially in wet weather.

I did have a good time, was a little nervous though, they assume everyone knows what they are doing and they forgot to write my car # on the truck, also with the helmet on I have a hard time hearing what the truck is doing off of the line.

It would have been nice to see a high twelve NA than maybe I coulda bagged a high 11 with a 150 when I go again on Wed with a camera but now I dont think getting that time is gonna be possible with my launches...Shoulda got some drag radials or something I guess and I dont have the money for that between now and then lol

I'm still a wreck when I get up to the pole, I really don't know anyone who isn't shaking inside when they line up
Yeah, the helmet is hard to get used to, illegal to wear on the street but necessary at the track, I hear all kinds of rattles and pings that normally I don't hear.

You got enough MPH for a 12 second slip. You'll need to pull at least a 1.75 60' to get in the 12's with that MPH. On a side note, do you have any pics of your truck with the 275/55's on it? I'm going down to that size and am curious about a pic. Also with the weight of the truck on the tires, how tall are they?

With the weight of the truck on the tires, I measure 28 1/4"..that is on a 17 inch rim. The only pics I have as yet is the ones on the bottom.
