Tire for the strip... HOOSIER nuff said.

If you want the most out of them, put them on a wider than stock wheel. Summit has a lightweight 16X8 wheel Mickey Thompson 368482 - Mickey Thompson Classic II Polished Wheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com
I have one of these I'll sell for 95.00 shipped new in the box and you could get the other one from summit.
Good luck on your quest to hook .

I didn't say they won't work. In fact I said they will work. What I did say is they ideally go on a wider wheel. I am running my tires on stock width wheels right now. But you can see they aren't putting all the rubber on the road.

Now wait a min... Just one dang second. Radial or bias ply slick for truck? I've been told bias ply you have to lower the tire pressure to much and it will start to sway down track and to run a radial to solve this? Any truth to this? I'm running et streets and I can't get past a 1.80 60'.

Bias ply for me but I run quite a bit of air pressure too. Anywhere from 13-15 on a 28x10.5 and 11-13 on a 29.5x10.5. My truck 60's hard too though. A lighter vehicle or one that doesn't make as much power will be able to run less tire pressure

My wheels are only 7.5 inches wide too btw...not ideal but it works. It is kinda a handful on the bigend though. Bogarts will solve that problem

So you do run less pressure with bias ply. I was running 18 psi on a stock wheel.

Yeah those definitely take more air. Different compounds will make a difference too. Its all trial and error

Please dont listen to these not too intelligent people telling you to run bias ply rears with radial fronts. Unless you are making some decent power a well setup drag radial will do fine..
