I've heard mixed opinions on this matter. I just picked up some Mickey Thompson ET Streets brand new for $250 delivered. The only problem is that they're the tube style. I've heard people get by without using the tubes but I don't want to jeopardize anything. I've also heard the tube won't work with stock rims so that's another issue.
So if anyone has any input on the matter on if tubes are needed for my tires I sure would appreciate it.

Im not sure for your application, but I put tubes in my slicks and had to drill out the valve stem hole out bigger in my racing wheels in order for them to work. One thing I noticed, and it happens to many people running tubes, is that they will probably have a major imbalance while cruising at a steady or highway speeds. But this also depends on how big your tire/tube application is. Im running 30x14's, so its a pretty good size.
If its safe, I would not run them if you can get away with it. But like you mentioned, dont jeopardize anything if it boils down to it. Maybe try calling M/T and see what they suggest!
Good luck

I now have the truetrac in and a set of airshocks and with the drag radials it should be a bit better.
