ok here is my story. My truck is a 04 5.3 sierra..mods are tune,4.10s,e-fans, shorty headers, gibson muffler, and K&N CAI. I was running a 14.8 with the 3.42s then switched to some 4.10s and got her down to a 14.4. i am really happy with the gear swap and time but i would like to have you guyz opinion.
I have not re-tuned it yet since i put on the CAI because i am waiting for my 3 in y pipe to be installed next week. this is how my best time slip looks like

MPH (I3) 75.704

E.T. 14.474 @ 94.009

I spoke to my tuner (Dan aka RGVSierra) and he said that it is running rich since i havent retuned it. what else do you guyz see wrong and right? by adding the 3 ypipe and retune think a 14.1 is possible???

 

Congrats on the new best. Dropping .4 is excellent with just a gear swap. I don't know if the CAI and Y will make that much difference but there's only one way to find out!

 

Looks good to me...thought it would be running lean if all you added was a CAI???

sup abiel??? yea man i keep telling Jorge (blackpearl) that i wanna mount some slicks on there but he insists that i dont need them. so what do u think?

might want to swap out those shorties for LT's. As far as slicks i dont think you are pushing enough power to jump into some. Do a good burnout. If the retune is free, id go for it.
