Damn, that does suck... I'm no expert with fresh engines but the oil consumption... hopefully the pcv is to blame otherwise maybe the rings aren't seated well yet or worse. I also think its gonna be hard to make any power N/A with a 7.5 DCR.

I've got about 1500 miles on the motor now. I have a compression checker, been too lazy to use it yet. I need to get off my *** and do it. I have an LS6 valley cover on order, I think I need to make some kind of catch can in the meantime just to see what happens.

Man I feel for you. Spend all that money, hard work, and something is off. I would have lost it by now, for sure.
I hope it's nothing serious and you get it figured out quick n' easy.

Thanks man. I hope I get it figured out too. I'm hoping it's just cause of the low DCR numbers and a shitty PCV system.

Damn sounds like my problems all over again except the lack of performance thing. Check your heads too and make sure they arent puddling a **** loud of oil up in them, I think that was the problem of my oil consumption. Also get a leak down tester it will show you alot more about whats going on then a compression tester. IMO you still be seeing more perfomrance then that out of the motor but I havent a clue what it could be if all your tuning is right. Is it a dog just cruising around? Your DCR is really low but damn, you have a ton of cubes

I'm curious on how you can have the same compression on two engine but differenct DCR. How do you calculate DCR?
