Do you know anything else blue about that casting #?

 

not really. it's just that i mostly see and hear about the 862 castings more than the 706's.

 

Check under your exhaust ports for big triangles cast into the head. My stock heads were 706s and had them. I read in Carcraft or CHP a while back that these heads had a different casting method and were worth 5hp or so better than a 862 head.

My new heads are 862s and don't have the triangles.
