Default Can I run a 16x10 rear without issues?

Is it worth getting a 16x10 rear wheel to mount a 28x10.00-16 on. Or should I just find some 16x8's. Also what offset and backspacing is gonna work out best with my 2/4? I would like to just mount them
On my stickers but Want a good contact patch

They definetally look good. Is it just me or the pic from the back, it looks like the tire is u-shaped like the rim is too small? I know they recommend 8-10" width with the streets and those are 8.5 wheels. Im leaning toward the mickey thompson classic II thats 16x8.

Seems like you should be putting down some good numbers so the wider the better. If you can get a 10" it would be ideal. The 8" will work but with the power you are making why not make sure to get the maximum traction possible?

You cannot get a 16x10 to tuck due to clearance issues with the banjo bolt on the stock brakes. The most backspace you can run is 6" which will put the wheels just outside the fender. 7" backspace is needed to tuck the wheels.

Those look just like the ones I run. I posted a pic in your other thread. Mine stick out past the fender a little. No problem for me as I only use them at the track anyways.

Regardless of the backspace they will stick out because like BigKID said you can't make them tuck because of the bolt on the brake caliper. I put the truck on a lift yesterday to look for myself and sure enough the stock 16" wheel is like 1/2" from hitting the bolt on the inside. If it wasn't for that bolt you could tuck the wheel in more.

If you go to a 17" wheel then you can go 10" wide and still tuck inside the fender.
