Default Cammed PB in the Denali

Hey Guys,

I made it up to new England Dragway yesterday and ran a new PB of a 13.85 @ 98.13.
I just recently put in a Patrick G custom 222/226 and a NNBS intake. I am still running on the stock converter, so I think this truck has a solid 13.2 in it with the right converter. My 60' times were OK, but I think I'll be able to drop about .3 off em. At this point there are zero traction issues and I'm not letting any air out of the tires or anything... at a 1.8x I think I could start to see some issues though.

Here's the time slip

The video...

What do you guys expect I would get out of a converter? Would it help my trap speed at all, or am I looking at 98 as the best I'm gonna get? I was really hoping for a 100 MPH trap speed...

I didn't have the 22's on, I was on the stock Denali 17's.

Race weight was about 5550 Lbs or so.

Thanks man! I will definitely be going up in early April when they open back up. I'd love to see your truck in action too.

Nice times.. I bet you could get solid 13.2 out of the right converter like you said. Congrats on the new pb.

That was with me in it as well. I have a ton of weight I could still remove. I only took off the gate and the spare. If I removed the back seat and ran with slightly less gas I would definitely bump that down to 5400. I debated taking off the trailer hitch and replacing the bumper with a roll pan too. I would also lose a bunch of weight by dropping all the Z-71 skid plates, but I don't think that's necessary yet. I think if I REALLY wanted to I could easily get my race weight down to 5300 with me in it.

Who knows, if I get the .7 out of the converter I'm looking into that the builder is claiming I may just go that crazy to try and break 12's. I don't see that happening, but you never know.

I think our weight difference sounds about right considering I have a crew cab and you are running the extended cab.

Truck moves out pretty good man. I was up at the track with him too and when we lined up he just pulled away come second and third gear. You can really see that cam work in the upper RPMs.
