Default Buy drag radials now or Hoosier slicks in January?

I'm debating between picking up a set of 17" wheels and getting the new 28x10x17 Hoosier slicks in January, or keeping the 18's I already have and replacing the 295/45 goodyears with 305/45 Nitto 555R's. Price for the tires is about the same, but I would have to buy the wheels if I go with 17's. Once I buy the wheels, I'd have to buy a pair of tires to run on the front, so the cost of switching to 17's overall is about double what I would pay to just get the drag radials for the 18's that I already have. Another option would be to get drag radials for the 17's. The reason why I'm thinking the Nitto's is because I can get them wholesale. I could probably setup an account with Hoosier, but I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of it. Let me know your thoughts.

Don't see any reason for the 17s. Unless you want a set of track tires and a set of street tires.
