Default 66 SWB, what drag radials should i buy?

My dad has a 66 short bed, stock rebuilt 350 bottom end, vortec heads with a thumpr cam, turbo 350, 3.73s and 29.5/10.5-15 slicks that he got on craigslist. He currently runs high 13's, low 14's and wanting to switch to drag radials so he doesn't have to swap at the drag strip. Was curious what brand and size would be best? I think I can convince him to go to a 28" tire to get a little better gear ratio. Any ideas?

Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials are going to give you the best traction in a drag radial. Downside is that they wear fast, just a bit faster then a M&H but hook better.

Going from a slick to a drag radial you will sure as hell find out if there is any issues in the suspension, traction issues may happen if there are.

M&H is by far the best tractoin youll get from a drag radial on the street or track bar none.mickeys are good at the track but suck on the street.and the new nitto is a very good tire for the track and street and last forever,i have over 10,000 miles on mine and they still have plenty of meat left on them.
