Default 16.4 with crappy traction

I started with a stock 04 ECSB 4.8L Sierra w/ 3.73 rear. Stock form...17.8 was the best I could get out of her.

I upgraded to CAI, Ebay LT's w/ ORY, 212/218 Cam and Wheatley tune (not dialed in just yet). W/ all the mods I couldnt not get traction off the line (peg leg). Reaction time was 2.5 and best'd a 16.40. My Denali XL goes 16.44 in the 1/4 thanks to AWD.

Two questions for ya'll...
1. Does this mean if I had perfect traction I could easily be in the 14's?

2. I know I need to get a locker (thinking about a lock right) but would a TB converter get me lower in the 1/4?

Reaction time a 2.5? That doesn't even sound right, sure that's not ur 60?

I can't believe you ran a 17.8 in stock form.....were you pulling another truck lol? My worn out 5.3 4x4 ran a 15.9 with just a tune and in 2wd.....that doesn't sound right at all.

Unless you are spinning down half the track its hard to say
if hooking would get you from a 16.4 to "easily in the 14's".....

A 60' time would help out alot, also what's your mph on the best run?

The track here is a bit on the ghetto side. They have a tree but it doesnt work as most of the lights are out. A guy stages the vehicles and then drops the arms to start us. They dont even sweep the start boxes...ever. We have to drag from 9-12 at night, Hoping it doesnt rain. Ambient temps are never lower than 80 degrees with 80-95% humidity. I dont know what the DA is but I think we are 1200 feet above sea level. They do have the time sheets after the run though. YEAH!

Reaction time has nothing to do with the actual time it takes you to go 1320'. If all you have is a tune, the time doesn't seem that bad.. should be a low 16 sec truck with a tune, maybe high 15's with that mod only

I must be the shitty driver then. lol I'll have to wait to see once I get a locker. I would say I am spinning all 60 feet. I feather it until about 30 then punch it. I shift @ 6k and finish in second gear. It is a shitty track, but a track none the less.

I did beat an 99 cummings in all 5 races! He had stacks and a chip. Every time he would shift, I'd leave him. He also had the same reaction times as I did, he couldnt get traction either.

With a DA of 3306 my corrected time (according to Drag times calculator) is:
15.744 @ 92.772 MPH
