Made it out to RPR Friday night. Only made 3 passes, was busy as heck and couple cars oil'd the track down to slow things up more. First 2 passes I tried in 2wd, roasted the tires both times. 3rd pass I tried 4wd, didn't want to leave to hard as wasn't sure what to expect and didn't want to break anything.

Firmly believe it will get into the 13's. This was on 12psi and 14* timing. 7300lbs race weight.

The few others I knew that made it were all .2-.3 off there normal or what they expected. Will try it again in January. Going to try to get some stronger tie-rods on before I go back, so I am not as concerned about launching in 4wd. Possibly the day off actually remove the spare, hitch, and whatever other weight looks easily removable.

Just rambling here... Playing around with rough numbers, I've come up with the following.
Truck Weight
As sits on 20/35's, full fuel - 7320 w/driver
36gal fuel to 6gal -- 189lbs savings
20/35's to 17/32 -- 200lbs savings
Spare Tire and holder -- 75lbs savings
Receiver Hitch -- 50lbs savings
Tailgate remove and swap to Net -- 40lbs savings.
Back seat removal -- 150lbs savings.
Could hit ~6,616lbs, removal of 704lbs. 200lbs of which is rotating mass. These are rough figures but ones I think would be fairly close. Cost wise, would be 17" wheels, 32" tires, and the net to put in place removing tailgate. Wheels would be American Racing 17x8, 8 on 180 bolt pattern @ 22lbs/ea. Tires I'm not as sure on, but looking around a 32" AT tire is going to weigh around 50lbs/ea.
I understand the argument of race it how your going to drive it. Aside from the backseat removal, would still easily be in an everyday drivable condition, though might look just a little odd on 32" tires compared to 35"s. Plus there's the drop in rotating mass plus more effective gear ratio.
Hopefully be able to make a pass setup as described above when the track opens back up later in January.

That is heavy for a gasser. My cc/SB duramax was probably over 7000 lbs. I removed back seat,spare and tailgate and went to smaller tires and also bumped the tune by 50hp or so and went from 13.7 to 13.1. It isn't apples to apples but just an example. The rolling mass of the tires and wheels will help a lot in my opinion.

Yep tires are killing you, i barely cut a 13 with a supercharged 5.3 on 35's.
Some caltracs wouldnt hurt either.
I would be interested on your iats with no meth but they are 140-150 ish. And that 14 degrees of timing is nowhere tk be seen.
