Default 13.9s w/ bolt ons, tuning & tire

Has anyone made a 13.9 second pass or better with the stock stall converter, no internal mods and/or supercharger, turbo, N2O, with a 5.3L?
I'm talking... bolt ons, tuning, and some sort of tire.

I'm going to take it to the track one last time and see if I can achieve it before I get the stall converter in... I'm at 14.2 @ 97 on a 2.1 60' right now and I just put on a set of Mickey 255/50s and they are dead hooking on the street.

Who has done this? I'd like to know if it is even possible.

i think you got it. you'll probably see some 2.0 60' maybe some high 1.9's. speed will probably be the same, but you'll have more gearing out the hole to make up for that to get a better ET.

Let us know how it goes. I don't see why it's not possible in optimal weather conditions.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot...

I think it would be a piece of cake if I added an ASP pulley, 3'' ORY, and weight reduction but, a 14.0 or better would be cool with the current setup.

The 4 link suspension has been useless thus far... Maybe the new tires will let me play around with the settings a bit.

Eww, I'd say weather conditions were a bit different from last time. I lost 2-mph and my ET remained the same. Definetly needs more RPM, or power at a quicker rate (stall converter). It just wont get off the line quick enough.

I tried playing around with launch techniques. Bumped the shocks up to 7 clicks... Came out of the hole the same. The last pass I stalled it to 1500-RPM and slammed the gas... Same 2.1 60'.

Did cut some good lights. A .1 light was my worst. The other two were a .076 and a .009.

Yea, and put YOURSELF on a diet too!
I do agree though, you have more "little things" to do that can add up.
