with ptv clearance, it's the cam's duration you have to worry about. not the lift.

Exactly. Shows how much people actually know about engines, and they still seem to give bad advice. Take a look over at ls1tech in the internal engine section. Sure are a lot of engines coming apart lately with valves barely kissing the pistons and some with a full smooch. I take it that those were the guys who listened to the "It was ok with mine, so its ok for everyone else's" and didnt check their own parts and are the ones picking their stuff up off of the ground. This is a technical forum, but that doesnt mean that everything posted on here is right. I see a lot of stuff posted on here that is completely wrong. I would suggest that if your one of the guys that have been through countless motors and transmissions, then obviously you dont know wtf you are talking about, so dont give out advice at all.

LOL. I agree. I don't go to ls1tech much because of the idiots. I haven't been there long enough to know who is for real and who is not. It is just a big forum and with that you have a hard time weeding out the morons. I've torn up a lot of **** but at least I know why.

My mistake, I double checked with the guy porting my heads, he said they are milled .035 not .045...phew. I'm an idiot.

Anyway, didn't mean to take this thread off topic so...
