Post up some pics. How does it hook now? Nitrous is by far the most popular power adder for the Dodges so there is a ton of information about them. And you can never go wrong with nitrous.

Congrats on your new truck! Just wanted to welcome you to the site. I don't know much about funny gas but I've read the Hemi engine does very well on it.

Welcome to the Hemi world! Lots of good stuff out there just not as many options as the Chibby and Furd folks.
Yes the Hemi does like N2O but be forewarned the tranny does NOT. More specifically it fries the 4,5 OD bands when shifting under gas at WOT. Just be careful if you are in the 100+ speed range. BTW turning off the OD does not help as you will still find 4th.
Definitely invest in the Superchips programmer, it does wonders for the performance. The Dodge uses speed density programming ( instead of a MAF ) so things like a CAI and exhaust don't hold their gains over time.
Good luck, have fun!

Welcome! I am presently running the 404 Nitto in 285/50/18 which offers more traction than the 450 Extreme Nitto in 275/50/17s.... which absolutely had NO traction at all..... now this had more to do with the size of the tires than the compound... the 450s were 27 inches in diameter vs 29s on the 404... but if you want traction.... get the 555R drag radials in 305/45/18s.. they work! .... we so far

Default Whats going on?

Hey man wuz up I own a 2005 Dodge Ram single cab Daytona. I have added hedman long tube headers, mopar CAI, hypertech power programer, and a mopar TBS. When I had just the CAI my truck would run 14.75 in the 1/4. My next part was the hypertech wich really sucked because I returned to the track and ran a best of 14.91. Then I aded the headers and the TBS and now my best time is 14.85. My stock gears are 3.92s, posi, and sock twentys. What I want to know is why is it going slower than before.

I've heard the Superchips Programmer is much better then the Hypertech. It could also be the time of year, very hot out and the hemi doesn't like heat one bit. When did you run your 14.75 run? I ran a 14.59 in October, now with 30hp more I can only luster a 14.75, the difference about 40 degrees.

Hey Daytona, where are you at? Altitude, temps, barometric pressure, etc, all contribute to varying times. Running in the winter vs summer I have seen changes by as much as 0.8 seconds. My Superchips was good for 0.5 improvement in the 1/4 mile but according to raw numbers I was slower by 0.2 seconds from the previous winter run. Factor in the air temp and head wind and it was a big improvement.
Welcome to the site BTW.
