I'm looking at replacing the family suv and want something with something with potential for some decent performance, are the hemi durango's worth the time, I need reliability but something I can mod and have a bit of fun with.

 

The Hemi comes stock with the best performance IMHO. There are a few mods out there but ultimately the computer tuning will put a clamp on things. DCX just will not share the coding with anyone.
Depending on the mods you are considering the GM GenIII motors are the easiest and cheapest to play with. Time will tell with the Hemi, patience is the key word.
