i just pulled my converter off when i installed my headers on my 03". i welded bungs into the new y-pipe and reinstalled my o2's. the sound is great and the headers with no converter to restrict anything lets the truck breath alot better. as far as performance the headers made an extreme difference, but i have no dyno numbers. i will say it is a night and day difference from stock to L/T headers and no cats.

I still have cats with my true duals but didnt have bungs for the rear O2's. They are tucked up inside the frame rail and have had no problems thus far.

I like the way it sounds......It's pretty loud...I noticed a little bit of T.R.... and a little bit of increase in the mid range.
