Default Dakota tranny..

Is there any type of a shift kit that will work on the 45rfe tranny in my 00 Dakota. I'm currently getting a parts list going for the parts i am gonna pick up. So far, HO cams and intake, 70mm throttle body, etc etc...but my right now even with stock hp the tranny seems to be kinda indecisive on shift and it shifts really lazily. What kind of products are out there to make my tranny snap a little better.

thanks guys,
trav

Default Shift Kit

I have the transgo shift kit in my 00 Dak R/T and i love it. It hits hard into 2nd and 3rd. On the juice(100 shot, with the plate, not shark nozzle) it will chirp the MT ET streets. The guy that did the rebuild and shift kit said he added a few clutches and so did the shift kit, too. It has the MP 2600 stall also, which will soften up the shifts some, so I'm guessin with the stock converter it would rip a hard 2nd. A lot of the Houston guys have the Power Demon tranny and love it. Just make sure the shop knows the Dodge tranny well and you should be fine.
