last time i talked to a friend of mine about his 6.7 he said he was getting about 22-23 mpg...but the only thing he doesnt like about it is he has to run that ultra low and it's not sold everywhere yet and it's also like 20 cents per galon higher than reg diesel

That is good to know. Does he have any thing done to his truck? My dad was talking to a ford salseman who has a new ford and he is getting about 13.5 but it did not have many miles on it. The ford salse man actualy liked dodges better.

Gotcha.

With my car a mess from being rearended 4 weeks ago, I don't know if it'll drive straight. So needless to say, I'm in the market and I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't dirve straight. I'm seriously tempted to find 04.5~06 6spd manual. I greatly prefer to row my own. Thanks for the info.

Im calling BS on that one. Several guys I know are already modified and running pretty close to 40k miles on their trucks. The best is getting 17mpg on the highway, 15mpg in the city unloaded
Not to mention ULSD isnt anymore expensive that regular diesel. I'd be suprised if you found regular low sulfur diesel anywhere anymore.

One big difference on the fuel mileage might be the speed limits. Most of the people getting the good mileage are the majority of the US which has a 55 or 60 mph speed limit. Out here we are 75 and so most of us drive 80-85. My 2005 HO with 35's would only get 17-18 on the freeway at those speeds.
