My wife refuses to let me get her a Escalade. I have a stout LQ9 in great shape with less than 30k miles. I have had the valves worked, heads decked, and will stud and ARP the whole thing. I'm kicking around perhaps the Lingenfelter GT2-3 or similar mild blower cam for the short block and trying to find a 112 blower to top it off amd drop it in. I'm not looking for a race truck I just need to swap the 5.7 and have everything but the blower and cam. What chassis power should I try and get to make the swap easiest? Would pulleying down to 10-12 be an issue after the swap was done and the exhaust is dialed in? What kind of power should a mildly worked 317 headed LQ9 with a blower cam at 10-12 psi make? Any pointers or suggestions I'm completely all ears, thanks

A mildly freshened up 6.0L with the GT2-3 and the little MP112 will run good. It’s the same basic combination I’m running, except in that mine has 6-tenths lower compression being an LQ4. I do believe you are going to come up a little short on your target boost pressure of 10-12psi with the Radix though, it’s just too small of a unit to put out that much on an engine much larger than the 5.3L. I’m getting about 8.5lbs out of mine with a 2.800” pulley and while you can get a slightly smaller upper pulley and even a larger overdrive damper is available, I feel you would be reaching a point of greatly increased IAT’s without much if any gain in performance. Also, some people have run into belt slip issues trying to go much smaller on the upper pulley. I feel like you would have a very enjoyable Tahoe with the plan you have just as it is, albeit with a little less boost than you were looking for at a reasonable expense, but if you really want to push it a little further you may end up wanting to at least search for a TVS1900 to have a chance of getting it there. Even with a 2.900” or 2.800” pulley, you would really want to install a methanol kit to be able to run a decent amount of timing in her, especially with the higher compression LQ9.

I want low maintenance, no meth, 93, optimized DD setup for a 4WD fun/tow/party wagon. I was thinking the 112 because they're so cheap now. What chassis is best to get the blower from to swap in my 96
