I believe you need a different converter. A quick search will reveal the solution.

Circle D, Yank, and Art Carr can all help you make this combo work. You need a custom hybrid converter built with a 4L80E front and a 60E back. Here:

80E would handle the power better and would bolt right up with the old style 6.0 converter, then all you have to worry about is the 4L80E swap. I don't know if you want to go that route though since you've already gotten a 4L60E.

Could always sell the 60 to recoup some of the 80 cost.

Thanks RJ. For all that hassle just to have the 4l60e die after a few hard launches, I may as well save my pennies and bolt in a 4l80e with a transgo shift kit
