I believe you need a different converter. A quick search will reveal the solution.

Circle D, Yank, and Art Carr can all help you make this combo work. You need a custom hybrid converter built with a 4L80E front and a 60E back. Here:

Transmission needs to be an 80E

 

80E would handle the power better and would bolt right up with the old style 6.0 converter, then all you have to worry about is the 4L80E swap. I don't know if you want to go that route though since you've already gotten a 4L60E.

 

Could always sell the 60 to recoup some of the 80 cost.

 

I will sell the 4l60e and keep my eyes peeled for a 4l80e.

 

Getting the TBSS intake ready to bolt up next week. Painted it red even though it will be covered by the SS cover.

 

The paint looks really nice. Too bad those Darth Vader things are so ugly.
