It does run RJ, pretty decent actually, but a sbc with iron heads, th350 and 2.73 gears does not a fast truck make...lol.

Oh of course it isn't fast, lol. I was just curious if you got a working vehicle for free. That's pretty awesome. I can't wait to see this build progress.

Well my buddy is heading to Moultrie, to pick up my '99 6.0 and 4l60e this weekend. Budget is $2000 and the engine and trans should be $700 complete.

Turns out the 4l60e will not mount to the older 6.0 wtf! Really did not want another 5.3

Should be a converter or flexplate issue iirc. It isn't the engine or the trans.

The crank is different on the old 6.0s. You can deal with this issue and still mount it.

How do I "deal" with the issue? What is the alternative? I was told The long flange will cause the flexplate to push the verter into the pump and it will not fit together.

Remember,
all the pink wires get IGN power and a fuse.
Orange wires go to 12V +
Black wires are ground
