no, i havnt moved the trans. a conversion flywheel with a spacer would probably do the same thing as a flywheel with the built in spacer. they both reach out from the motor to seat the convertor. im talking about a spacer that pushes into the back of the crankshaft. its the same diameter as the inner diameter of the flywheel.

I'm currently gathering parts to do a 5.3 swap in a 75' K-5 with a 4l60e.
With 43k on a stock engine, rebuilt trans, computor and wiring harness from Howell, gear change, rebuit 241 transfer case, and all other fittings and adapters, I'll be around $5000.
I plan on tearing into it soon.
Of course, there's always the unexpected.

Ditch the TBI and 700R4, get a pull out from a LS 4x4 truck and get your self a NP241 from a 90 or 91 burb or blazer with VSS.
I know that the linkage on a 208 or 241 are the same, but you have to be careful to not set the engine back to far, the linkage is not adjustable.
As for a TBI 87 350 having more torque than a 5.3, you need to drive more LS powered trucks man.

BUT you would definitely make more power from the 5.3 or a 6.0 than the 350 by far!!!

To do an electronic T-case you need to get a ford front axle because the t-case is set up for the pumpkin on the passenger side or vise verse. i don't remember witch side the 80's pumpkins were on
