i have an question....im putting a 5.3 in my 91 silverado,do i have to take the tranny out first be4 the motor will go in or what....first time puting an motor in n i have no help so yeah...

Is the trans your using going to bolt up? If it will you should be able to leave it in. If you have to take it out you will have to block the motor up in the back so it doesn't sag on the mounts to much. hope this helps. Also check and make sure that your flexplate is going to work with your torque converter.

my 350 was already out it was pushed forward a good bit so i went ahead n took it out,its a 700r4 soon to be th350 i heard the flexplate kit on summit would work with the th350 torque converter ...but anyways i got the motor in after a lil wiggling it in man that was and work out n i dont weight much from the start with mayb 120 or so but its in

Trying doing it with a 6.0 and 4l80e in our trucks!! I beat everything up, ended up seperating and installing individually
