After next weekend I will be ready to have my chassis sandblasted. Also in his shop we will box the frame, better than doing it on my driveway....

Almost there, last weekend still removed stuff from underneath. Cab & bed is loose on the frame. Made a carriage for the bed so I can move it where I want it.

Some serious rust in the body mounts.

Also removed the interior, inside no rust at all, looks like new!

Isn't there supposed to be a cross member behind the rear axle? The frame flexes so hard, even with the bed still on it.... Will box the frame anyway but just wondering.

Finally got some real work done yesterday. Started around 8am and finished at 5pm

The frame was already sand blasted earlier this week.

Started boxing the frame

I also removed the cross members, shortened them and welded them in place.

The transmissions cross member was a mess. There were a lot of welds and they looked like crap. Looks like the transmissions mount was torn from the cross members and they tried to fixed that. They failed successfully

The trans cross members had to be shortened so it would fit in between the frame.

And finally welded a beam in the back.
