Honestly, if I knew, I'd tell you. I really don't know. I was doing 60mph at 2 a.m. on SR33 by myself on a 3 mile stretch of road between towns, just trying to stay awake going home and it went pop. The engine only had 8K miles on it. From the looks of the cam where it sheared at, it's been cracked for a while, the core is oil varnished all the way through the center. Not really sure what caused it all to tell you the truth.

That must've worked, but I know that's not how you would want to stay awake... I wouldn't. So, what are your plans now?

Yeah, I woke up REAL QUICK when that happened.

I'm temporarily going to throw a 350 4 bolt in it with a TH350 out of a Chevy van, just to get it back on the road and rolling for now. Then after I get my move to Georgia done, I'm going to buy either a 5.3L to put in it and a 6.0L to build up for it later on, or I'll just buy a 6.0L and drop in it with an 80e behind it.
