Default 97 Suburban 1500 towing questions

Ok ATM I am swapping in an L59 into my 1500 Suburban. I am going to be using it to tow a 25 ft trailer from Ohio to Colorado. I just got an air bag helper kit for the rear.

The things that I would like to know are:

What can I do as far as brakes?

I haven't really found solid upgrades for them. I don't have much money to work with, but I can build whatever I need with the tools I have.

This truck has a stock cooler, but would I need more with the weight?

Will the 4L60E hold up to this much abuse? I don't plan to beat the **** out of it. I will take my time.

Is there anything else that would need upgrading for that long of a trailer. I don't plan on putting a lot of weight on it just a car and the small amount of house hold things that we are bringing.
