Default 95 k2500 350, replacing with L31(L45)

95 k2500 with a 350 with internal oil pressure leak.
This is a daily driver and not looking for extra performance, just what I'm getting out of the motor swap.
I'm replacing it with a new GM L31 crate motor from summit...
I have also have the vortex to TBI intake.
I also bought the Factory distributor for the L31, which the wiring connection are different plugs. I don't want reuse any existing parts from old motor. Can i use a distributor for original motor if I replace the cam gear? I have read that the Factory TBI for the original motor should b upgraded to one with larger injectors and an adjustable regulator. If so any recommendations or which one? Also can I block off EGR valve cause existing truck is vacuum controlled.
I'm also adding the hose barb for the water pump feed.
Am I missing anything else that needs to cross or be different?
Thanks
