i also just read both the threads you have on the obs swaps and have a couple questions for now. did you have any issues with the oil filter clearances on the 4wd? and did you use the stock cruise control for either swap? im building a 6.0 for my 94 and you're threads are very helpful.

Glad your finding some value from my builds. No clearance issues at all for the oil filter, same amount of room in the 99 and up body style trucks. Both the 95& 94 are DBW, was able to just use the wires that went to the cruise control box from the cab, and splice those into the DBW box to achieve proper cruise control. I have yet to do this on the cable throttle LS in my 79. When I do, I have a 02 cruise box I will use.

What would you charge to convert my truck if I brought it up to you?

I could supply the engine and trans.

When is that? Sorry, staying to busy at work to keep up with the power tour this year.

The guy wants $2,200 to build another TBI 350 for my suburban. I am thinking I would be better off converting it over to a 5.3\4l60e. I wont have the time to do it myself.

Could you elaborate on what wires you spliced to make the cruise work?
