I'd stick with the TH350 too unless you plan on putting over 500hp to the wheels. TH400 are stronger, but they are also power robbers.

Looking good. Do you plan on putting the inner fenderwells back on? I know they're huge. LOL

I might stick with the TH350. Either way I need a new trans. I'm hoping to put close to 400 to the wheels in this truck, and I'm also planning to spray a 150 shot. I think ya'll are right, I should keep the Th350. Na, I'm not putting the inner fenders back in, I like the way I can just jump in there from the top or slide in from the wheel well(lots of room). Who knows, I may end up having to put them back since this town is so dusty(lots of dirt roads). I most likely wouldn't drive it in the rain, so I'm not worried about water.

I finally got some headers, but they don't fit for ****. I should have just made some headers instead of trying to make these fit. The passenger side required a good bit of grinding on the crossmember mounts and along the frame. The driver side needed the lower control arm grinded a lot too. Then after all that grinding just to let them bolt on, I realized the driver side collector points into the frame and now I have to grind there and make some funky bend to connect to the X pipe. I think I can make them work as long as the motor doesn't torque over too much(I'm gonna run a torque limiter, so it shouldn't be a problem).

Here's a picture of the passenger side.

It looks good and it's going to look good. Just keep the end in mind. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.

Just a little update. I am almost ready to start it. I don't have the new trans/converter, so I can't drive it yet. I'm gonna try to get someone to help me wire it up this weekend. I just need the fuel pump/relay and the electric fans/relay, alternator, and the gauges wired up. I may just throw in a stock trans and converter just to run around for a bit until I get the new stuff.

Can we say, FUN!

I'm sure the work hasn't all been fun, but I'm sure the end result will be worth it.
