255 should be an easy fit, but more telling would be the wheel width and offset. Do you know those specs?

I have 20's on a 4/6. 245/45R20 in the front on 20x8 5.25" backspace. 275/40R20 in the back on 20x9 5.75 backspace.

The front tucks and looks perfect but for the rear I should've done a 6" backspace with some 285's. For you I would get a 6" backspace for the rear to get the tire away from the bedside.

All depends what tire you put on them. A 20" rim with a 28" tire wont fit any worsed than a stock 15" rim with a 28" tire will. The only difference is that with the 20" rim there is aluminum where there is rubber on a 15" rim.
