I know Fbody headers don't fit without lifting the motor or setting it way back in the firewall, I was gonna try truck headers but haven't got around to it.

I think 1BADC10 tried a set of nbs truck pacesetter headers and they would not work. I have seen a set of hooker LS1 shorty headers that look really good that work on these trucks, but nothing for LT's yet.

Yes, exhaust is pretty tricky and frustrating. I was fortunate and had several options sitting in front of me, but none worked cleanly. I tried truck headers, but only the passengers side fit. Then I tried truck manifolds, the passenger side wouldn't fit without trimming the EGR port, but it looked like crap. Then I tried F-body headers and they needed the frame trimmed in several places. I also had my motor setback 1", so that was a factor too. I'd suggest some type of shorties or even look into ZO6 manifolds.

that want i was going to try. Maybe 1 3/4 stainless Trailblazer headers or just get some built.
