I haven't had moose, but I have had Elk. This deer is not mine, I do have some left from last season. But I did everything myself, from cleaning, quartering, to filleting and cubing.

First hunt, first kill, first everything. I always heard in life if you were going to do something in life, that was worth doing, do it right the first time.

Just wait until I smoke my pork butt for two days just so I can make a pulled pork sandwich and tacos like Fuzzy's makes.

I need a good chicken fried steak recipe. Looking online now...

First time ever frying, came out great other than a bit too much brown sugar.
First time ever making gravy too!

glad to see I'm not the only one that takes a hammer and bowl of milk to their venison... turns out much better this way. I'll have to try the fried steaks. I usually just do backstrap, tenderloins etc... the rest usually ends up as sausage. This Sat is opening day too... I've got my eye on a nice healthy doe in the back of my place. if she walks this weekend, it'll be her last steps

Two days? Seems to me that it will be dry.
