I put it in the grill before I left for my 5k run... My wife said she'd "man" the grill. Came back from the run and time was 3:20 hours and it was falling apart. The bone separated from the meat cleanly. Wife made rice, potato/poblano salad, pico de gallo with tortillas and I added a dash of El Yucateco habanero sauce. ☺️

Got cold again (well, for me it's cold around 50F and below) and cloudy. That's okay, it IS winter after all. Grilling some chops using a flashlight.

I was cracking up today. I ordered a transmission rear band and got a small envelope dropped off by Amazon. I opened the package and it's a rear sprag! WTF!

Looks like a band to me.

WTF! 🤦‍♂️

It got windy today! I hate windy days. Oh well.

Grilled some burgers. Wind kept blowing out the fire so I went and got a sheet of drywall from the garage and a few pieces of plywood for some windbreakers.

Almost full blast to keep fire from blowing out from the wind.

🤷

Smoked up some chicken quarters today. 3hrs at 225* on the pit boss followed by a minute a side at 450* on the egg to crisp the skin. Came out perfect. Wind didn’t hit here until I was done.

Came camping with the kids today. Burgers and hot dogs for lunch and fajitas for dinner. S'mores for dessert. ☺️

Wind made it hard at the campsite last night and this morning. Tried to make pancakes on a cast iron skillet on the grill. Didn't work. The bacon did, however. So we had cereal and milk with bacon. The kids weren't complaining. 🤷

Back home:

Roasted salsa verde. Grilled chicken, sausage and leftover fajitas. ☺️

At the campsite this morning. 😌

One tomato, 2 tomatillos and like 2 dozen serrano peppers. 😅

Maxed out the old grill.

Brisket went on sale this week, so I picked up a few. Did the same deal for my barbacoa with guajillo. Trimmed the fat off 😬.

Kids love barbacoa tacos.
