This would be a fun Dmax to own

Thats a badass truck.
I was reading diesel power the other day and saw a cummins they were running up to 109 psi in it.
This past Friday I watched a gto with an lq9 in it take over 20lbs. Its a stock junkyard motor from a burned down escalade, never had the heads off and its putting 820+hp to the wheels.

spoolin, a gasser has a problem igniting the fuel mixture with a lot of fuel, a diesel just compresses it until it explodes in the combustion chamber and whatever fuel isnt used to make power is the black smoke that comes out the tailpipe

Gasser running rich decreases power and decreases EGT's
Oiler running rich increases power and increases EGT's
Diesels can run a ton more boost than a gasser from teh factory as they come stock with turbos and are designed to run boost reliably whereas a stock gas engine is designed for reliable NA power.
If a gas engine is designed for turbo usage, such as SAAB engines are, great power and reliability can be had, as the engine is engineered for boosted reliability.

So, do they clean all that **** off the track after it settles? I'd hate to be the next guy up with all that setiment sitting on the starting line.
I'm not trying to take anything away from this truck, so don't get me wrong, but am I really supposed to believe it got a .88 60ft? Isn't that a typical top fueler 60ft time? Maybe I didn't read the slip righ on the video, but it seems that the timers were screwed up on that run.

that's probably the R/T of the pass instead of the 60'
I know diesel's come out of the hole fast, but there's no way you'll find one with a sub 1-second 60'. a friend of mines dragster runs the 1/8th in the 5.0's and doesn't get that close...

If u have heard about duramax killing heads it was the early 01 - 03 module. 04 is a differnt head desing and the head will stay put all the way to 50 pounds. If u want to go over 50 pounds you will have to stud the head
