Would like to know if the transmission from 8.1 would hook up to my 6.0

4L80 or Allison will bolt up. But the 4l80 is the most simple.

Will the 6.0 actually run an Allison? I've never heard of that.

Also, does the Allison have a separate ECU control? I bought an 8.1/Allison combination with wiring harness and ECU. There's a connector that doesn't have anything connected to though. It looks like an ECU connection, but smaller.

It should run the Allison but the Allison has its own TCM so getting them to play nice might be a little difficult

I just said it would bolt up. As for as wiring and control I'm not sure how that works.

Allison has its own TCM so you will need that and I believe you will have to reprogram your bcm for it as well.
