Shift kit for Allison

Default Shift kit for Allison

My buddy has a 2001 CCSB Dmax/Ally..
We are tryin to find a Shift kit for it..

Anybody got any ideas about which ones are good and worth the price?
I dont think any of the sponsors carry them.. i cant find them if they do..

Thanks guys!!!

He wants more power but im not goin to turn it up anymore till we can get a shift kit in there...

The brand to get is the Transgo kit, but to get the full effect of it the 5 speed allies need to be pulled and have an internal mod done to them. the 6 speeds already have this mod done at the factory so all they need is to drill 2 holes in the valve body and replace 2 trim valves. But you could just do the valve body mods--Its better than nothing.

Ok, we were thinkin about gettin a Torque Converter while we are at it so pulling the trans is goin to be on the agenda anyway...

Its a 5 speed..

Go for it then, what Converter are ya thinking about? Suncoast and precision are the two brands to get. Go over to the Diesel place.com and look under vendors for Merchant Automotive. He can sell you everything you need and is TOP NOTCH to deal with and if you have probs he'll help you over the phone.

ouch that is a NO-NO form all the tranny guys i have delt with..... if you get a shift kit get a ATS or Suncoast, PPE, TTS setup.... all the people that i know the run mor than 100 addition hp at the tire avoid the bully dog kits liek the plauge.......


first thing to fail is the c2 pack then the torque conveter.
