Default Raylar 103 cam swap with pics

My dad told me his truck wasn't running right and misfiring. Didn't take me long to figure out it was the cam. I told him if he wanted me to do the swap then we are do it my way.
Reason for the swap.

I wanted roller rockers on the truck. I had 2 options run Raylar rockers with his custom nut and keep the stock rocker stud. Or swap to ARP conversion stud and run the Comp rockers I already had. Problem with Comp/ARP swap is the exhaust polylocks will hit the valvecovers. I solved this by having 1/4 inch cut off the exhaust locks. Also had shorten the pushrods to 8.000 and 8.900

When I had the intake off. I pull the tube out the PVC port drill and taped it and added a check valve in case this truck went FI.

Here's short vid when I was flushing the coolant system. The lope is mild and hard to hear.

Awesome love to see 8.1's getting some love. Very happy to see crane makes a double roller as well. Hows the low end with the 103 cam? any specs on that cam? cant seem to find them any where. Been meaning to call raylar and chat. Looking at the 103 to replace the 496 ho cam I have in there now.

Don't want to give away Raylar specs. That's Larry's job call him.
Sill needs tuning. It's been along time sense I drove a stock 8.1. It did seem a little weak at low RPM but when I floored from a dead stop it spun the duals for 10 ft! Never did that before.

What caused the cam lobe to eat itself in the first place? That's what I'd be trying to figure out. The guy who built my 454 just had a 6L that did the same thing, and the guides in the heads were undersized/tight on that valve.
