I thinking about getting a newer duramax ecsb 4x4 And since i dont know alot about diesels I need some advice on upgrades. 1. What is the best programmer? ive heard a lot about PPE, but im not sure how it works and who sells it. Is this just a handheld like a hypertech that can adjust other parameters such as tire/gear changes? Im also concerned about adding to much power and hurting the trans. 2. What is one of the better intakes to buy? 3. How do you turn up the boost on these? w/ programmer? And 4, can and how hard is it to add a BOV for that cool sound ? Thanks for your opinions, im sure these Duramax turbo systems arent too far from a turbo setup on a gas engine. Id like to run mid to high 13-s at least with the duramax withoout having to worry about breakage.

Tim You will love the DMax. 13's are not hard to run with a DMax. If you haven't looked here The Diesel Place Go check it out. It is a very good DMax forum and you will find answers to all of your questions. Just spend some time searching the forums as your questions have already been ask numerous times. There are some very smart and experienced members there as well as a good group of supporting vendors.
