LQ4 with 706's and a cam - pushrod length?
Hey yall, new to the forum, I'm Shane. Good to meet ya.
Been thinking on doing a few things to the truck. I'm gonna start with cam & heads. There lies the problem. They sell them pushrod length checkers all day long, but what if you need to know that number ASAP. Like, order the proper length from the get go, so you can do the swap on the weekend and go back to work Monday? I'm trying to swap the cam and put some 5.3 heads on the 6.0, but I don't have the time off to set there and fiddle around with calculating pushrod length, and waiting for them to arrive once I know. The cam is a Comp 54-424-11. Lift is .553/.563. I'm shootin in the dark, hoping I hit ONE dude that's done this exact thing already, and knows.
Also. What thickness HG can I use to stay on pump gas with this?

Run a stock head gasket.
I highly suggest larger injectors too depending on what it has now. The stock 25lb/hr are barely big enough for a stock 6.0, add a cam and you will push 90-95% or more duty cycle. Getting it tuned as soon as possible is needed too.
Sorry can't tell you exactly what push-rods to buy.

Haha, well I talked to BTR and they said as long as you are keeping stock heads/rockers it should be a 7.400. I'm going to be tearing mine down at the end of the month, ill let you know how it goes and how it performs.

Stock as in not aftermarket, or stock as in keeping the 317's?
