Sorry can't tell you exactly what push-rods to buy.
I forgot about your recommendation on the stock hg and went with a cometic .040 MLS. On top of that, I'm pretty sure the machine shop had to mill down some on my 862's, after the bright idea I had to resurface them at home, and ended up sanding more off the ends than the middle...

Ya think it'll still run okay on 92? I have hp tuners, so I suppose I could always dial back my spark tables to work, right?

Soooo...installed an LY6 with 862s that were cut .010 and I was getting two full turns to tighten the rocker. Thing sounds like a sewing machine. I bought 7.375 from Frankenstein on eBay for $70. I'll report back this weekend and see what happens....

my bad. Didn’t see the response. It’s a summit 8718. So I installed the shorter 7.375 Frankenstein pushrods. It’s marginally quieter but I can still hear the sewing machine pretty bad. I understand headers don’t quiet anything down. So. Gonna try the 7.350s tonight and report back. I was still getting nearly two full turns after zero lash on the 7.375s.

If it’s as bad as I think you’re saying it is, you may need one more size shorter. Like a 7.325.

You should be between 3/4 and 1 full turn from 0 lash to achieve proper preload. This is why it's important to measure

Isn’t 1 turn .050? And that’s factory lifters...

Nope, That's not correct... They are saying the tool is .050 of length for 1 full turn of the pushrod tool.

As shown in the video I posted, 1 Full turn of the Rocker Arm bolt nets about .079 preload on the lifter as measured at the push rod.

2 full turns of the rocker arm bolt past 0 lash is .158 preload. The link you posted even states ideal clearance is around 3/4 turn past 0 lash on factory LS lifters.
