i have the edge juice with attitude on my 04.5 LLY. MPG on level 1 was 1-3 higher than stock. i like it and the fact that you can adjust different parameters such as defueling when shifting to prevent slipping the converter. easy to install and nice having the ability to switch power levels on the fly. little bit pricy but not terrible. i shopped around on the net and got mine for 700. edge advertises 850 or so.

If you want the EDGE get it from Performance truck products . I got mine for about 620$ . thats a deal for sure. Just be prepared if you run it hard on HOT youll need a lift pump and tranny upgrades. So far my transgo JR shift kit is holding, but im saving for a tranny build. If you want great power ( not drag racing) and Milage and worry free towing get the Hypertech. this was my first tuner and it performed solid. 281 $ on the web so its a great bang for the buck.

thanks alot guys. I really want something for milage first then power second. i only tow periodicaly, although i do have an addiction to speed. how did the hypertech improve milage? i've used hpp on other vehicles and wasnt too impressed. my dad has the power pup on his truck and claims he gets worse milage now. From the reading i've done i also like the edge product. thanks for the info.

The Hypertech Sucks on gas engines but on the Diesel is pretty awesome for not bieng a " race" tuner. I think youll be happy with it, especially for the money, i'd try it then when you want to play hard down the road get EFI live

dad just got HPP III on his new 07 classic duramax CCSB. runs like a raped ape for the money he spent on it. 320 or so shipped. not sure where he got it from. ill do some checking for ya n let ya know. ive heard some people have had trouble limping the trany though on level 3, dad hasnt heard any problems with his yet r im sure i would have heard about it. good luck with your choice, you cant go wrong with either choice.

I have the edge juice with the attitude controller ( so i can get extreme level out of it) and it runs hard! On level 5 and with a K&N cold air kit and stock exhaust I went 14.7 in 1/4 mile with a cc/sb. The only thing I dont like about it is that it does not take the top end limiter off, so you get to 100 very quick. To remedy this I went and bought a jet progammer and took off the top end limiter. As far as fuel milage goes it has picked up from 1-3 mpg and my truck has 40000 miles on it.
