Default Lets talk allisons! mods, do's and don'ts

I'm hoping that my income tax returns next year will be enough to hopefully enable me to go through the allison in my truck(or at least put a big dent in it). She is currently working fine. But I'm not satisfied with the power that it makes. I want more power and I dun wanna burn the tranny up to get more power. by then I plan on having efi live, aftermarket lift pump and/or ats dual fueler system. more boost and more fuel=FUN!

Whats the best converter? .... i've always been a big yank fan

So who would be the best source to go to for the tranny work? Suncoast? ATS?

Is there anything that I could do to prolong the life of my alli?

give me some opinions!

Suncost converters is one of the best in the business for building built allison transmissions. There shop location is in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Get in touch with fleece transmissions, they do good work, I doubt you will need dual CP3s for a while unless you run a huge tune.

EFI Live is great. Look for the 1057 converter, or 1056 if you are towing. Hit up Mike L at Inglewood Transmissions, he can hook you up with a great SC kit.

There are 2 guys that ARE THE BEST with Allison Builds.MIKE L. with inglewood transmissions in California, Or here on the east coast ERIC MERCHANT of MERCHANT AUTOMOTIVE. Eric Built the Allison for NASTY GIRL, a 1000RWHP Duramax. He also built me a badass one too! Go to thedieselplace.com and snoop around, you wont find any better guys to help ya out. Also PRECISION INDUSTRIES Makes a great converter for the Allison, But Suncoast are great too, Ive heard of a lot of Faliures with the ATS 5 Star converter, but have not had any experience with one. Let me know if i can help ya.

EFI LIVE is the most popular for Duramax tuning.

I built mine on my own. Get an ATSG manual and have at it.
