+1

I been considering this, not for towing but just the coolness factor of having a dmax in a half ton AWD Denali

If I can get some specifics on the amount of work I'm going to have to put in it to make it work and it not cost 25k like in one of the above posts I'm going to do it. but if there is extensive frame labor involved it may scare me off

There is no major differnce. lb7 are known for bad injectiors. So i would try to stay away from one of them if u dont have the money to by aftermarket injectiors body's and all.

LLY's I have nothing bad to say about them. Some people say they overheat when pulling ive never had a problem with both of mine. Ive got over 1,000 drag strip passes on Big tunes. And ive hook to the sled 50+ times lly's are hard to kill.

LBZ good motor just seems like u cant get the longevity out of them above 600hp

Frame would need to be extended a bite not much though. IIRC last build we did we added 2 inchs up front. Box the frame in. espically if u are going to be toying with it and putting tuners on it. Its nothing for a dmax to make over 1,000 pound feet of torque if your frame isnt boxed it could give you the preztel affect
