Default DPF delete with no tuner. Possible?

Hey ya'll

I am rather new to the diesel part of performance trucks so be gentle. I am looking into buying a 2012 duramax and basically as the title states, I was wondering if you can do the DPF Delete without having to run a tuner. I plan on doing a single stack. My dealership says I can do the DPF Delete and it won't void warrenty but if I run a tuner warrenty is void. So let me know what you guys think.

There is no way to turn the codes off with out a tuner. Not even sure if there is a tuner for 2012's that will tune off the codes yet. EFILive is not supporting the LML motors since GM locked them out of reading the PCM.

I'm surprised your dealer told you they would still warranty it if you did though.

So my next to questions would be can a stack kit be done with out the dpf being removed? Also anybody know of a tuner available for the 2012 duramax (LML)?

H&S is JUNK.

You wont be doing a stack anytime soon, as said, EFI will not support the LML anytime soon. There are no quality DPF deletes out there that are good, H&S was the "first" but Ive heard those tuned LML's and I do not like them. You have a 60k pickup with 360rwhp, and a warrenty...

I dont know much about a Duramax... but what I would do is the DiabloSport pressure box for 400 bucks, I dyno'd a bone stock LML with 20's and it made 405rwhp with one, all emissions equipment still on, no smoke. Picked up a mpg or 2 as well.

The evoht is a good one for the lml. 81hp 170tq. There wont be tuners that support dpf deletes. There making it very close to illegal. Youll have to do like the redlines do for the cummins and get a for offroad use only product that requires you to sign a waiver. Or find something sold in a state that there is no emissions inspections such as indiana. H&s is only ok and there dpf delete is not for road use. There will be more to come. Id get a power adder that works with the dpf and wait till efi live or edge comes out with a delete system to buy.

H&S is good, I have rode in a few. No support for the Alli. Quadzilla has a new one that is pretty awesome.

I am enjoying my LML and I will leave it stock until 100K.

Go with the H&S mini maxx and you will be happy. I've done several on the LML and they make great power, but anything over the 90-100hp range and it's just a matter of time before that 6 speed will be getting an overhaul. With H&S you can delete the dpf and urea tank as well.
